Our Sherlock Holmes Poems!

We wrote Acrostic poems using a name, place or object from our term 2 reading text, Sherlock Holmes and the Blue Diamond. Using our tablets and mobile phones, we created Instaquote pictures by typing up our poems and choosing a suitable background Picture from the book.

 Elif Su used 'Holmes' to write her acrostic poem.

 Tunahan's poem was about Mrs Oakshott, James Ryder's sister.

The Great Egg Hunt!

On Friday 18 April, we had an Easter egg hunt! We all painted eggs and the student with the most beautiful egg won a prize. Our teachers hid them around the school. We all searched for them at lunchtime.

Communication in the 21st century

Here is our online poster about Communication in the 21st century. Our Grade 8 students created the posters. We sent it to the competition organised by Oxford University Press. The winner will be announced this month. Good luck to us!

What is Sherlock Holmes like?

Our 'Mulan' Poem!

While reading the book Mulan, we spent ten minutes at the end of each lesson writing our class poem. It follows the narrative of the story and it rhymes!

An interview with 'Mulan'.

After studying the story, Grade 7 students chose a character to interview. Here we can see Elif Su as the interviewer, while Mehlika portrays Mulan. Turab interviews Mulan's father, Hua Hu, who is played by Baran. Bilal interviews Mulan, who is played by Melike. Taha interviews Mulan's husband, Ye Ming, who is played by Atakan. Sinem interviews Mulan's brother, Xiong, played by Damla.
